My final goodbyes...

This picture resembles the final sunset of my time in San Diego (even though I have all of summer to say goodbye). I'll be going to Los Angeles for college and I get really emotional thinking about how I'm going to be leaving the place that I've called home for my entire life.
In this picture, the sun is setting in Downtown and I love every little thing about this picture even though I photoshopped it a bit. The sky is the most perfect color and I love that it isn't just blue. There are a few colors mixed into there and you can tell that the sun is setting. You can also actually see the sun peeking behind a little building there too! There are also little gassy clouds of white in the sky which makes it look mystical (is that the word for it? Whatever, it looks beautiful!) I also love that there is a silhouette of the buildings and the picture is mostly black. It makes them all look uniform and you can't discriminate between the ones that you think look pretty and new since they all look the same!
With this being my last blog post ever, I just want to say that it's been a long and winding road and it took FOREVER to get to where I'm at right now. I'm super proud of myself that I finished on my senior ex and I know that I did an amazing job. Til next time SCPA!

Lillypads

This picture was taken at the Jewish cemetery that I visited when I was with my friend Ashley. She was visiting her loved ones and I decided to take a few pictures at the beautiful lilly pads. I love how the imperfections of this photo make them perfect. The reflection of the trees in the water give this feeling to this picture and allows us to visualize what is outside of this photo with our own imaginations. There are also lilly pads in the background. I don't know how I felt about that at first because you can't really tell what it is, but I learned to accept it because as I said, I love the imperfections of this photo. The building located on the top right of the picture is a part of the cemetery. I would prefer that the building not be there because it kind of confuses the audience as to where this is at. The lighting was perfect because the sun was setting which is pretty much my theme for my final two pictures in this class. The sun setting in San Diego symbolizes me leaving this town and how this chapter in my life at San Diego is ending.
