In my last 3 pictures I chose one of my good friends Denise. I took these in the beginning of the year and I meant to re-shoot but I settled for these three. I'm a little disappointed with my lighting and a lot of my other ones that I didn't choose looked blurry but she did an amazing job in giving me dance poses. I had her wear a blue dress with a black background. I hope the black background doesn't make my Senior Ex look awkward though because I used white backgrounds for everything else. In the first picture, Denise is doing a dance move called a firebird and as you can see, it's not an easy thing to accomplish. Once again, a lot of determination and strength is present in this work and it is evident that it wasn't an easy journey to get to where she has gotten. I edited these pictures by changing the hue and saturation and I made the contrast a tad bit higher. Overall, even though I know I could have done better with the lighting, I photoshopped them to the best of my ability (which my skills were definitely tested) and made them all look similar and as though they were in the same section. This isn't my best work, but Denise was an amazing model to work with!

Senior Exhibition 10 - 12

I really love these pictures of Aaysia. I had her wear a black dress, pointe shoes, and had a scarf as a prop with different colors on it. I had her model in front of a white background and I think these pictures turned out great. I love that the scarf flows and I got the chance to shoot it while it was in midair. I also think the art of ballet pointe is amazing and it amazed me that she was able to hold certain poses while I took pictures of her. I took pictures of her while she was in the air and leaping, I chose one of them which is a part of this section, but I mainly wanted to focus on her feet and her pointe shoes. I think these turned out great! :)
Senior Exhibition 7 - 9
I was determined to find Montay Romero so that I could shoot specific pictures of him for my Senior Ex. I chose these three photos because it illustrated exactly what I had envisioned for this section. I had asked him to do leg lifts and in the second picture, it looks almost effortless. Although it may seem as though it's an easy thing to accomplish, there is a lot of strength and dedication involved within the pose itself. Not to mention how long it took for him to get to that certain point of being able to do all these leg lifts. You should be truly amazed at his skill and technique because he only started dancing last summer!
I edited these pictures to have an intense feel to them so I made the contrast higher. I didn't like the lighting in a few of the pictures that I had, and I was pretty frustrated because every other part of the picture was perfect. But other than that, I think these are a few of my best shots.
Senior Exhibition Images 4 - 6

These are the 3 pictures I took of An to contribute to my Senior Ex. I had taken many pictures of her leaping, but a lot of the good ones I had of her leaping were out of focus and I kept getting the ceiling. I chose these three because it sticks to the theme within the central theme of her doing flow like movements with her arms, and movements with her legs. I like that these images show the muscle in her legs which accentuates her strength and ability to do these dance moves. Her arms however are the complete opposite. They look soft and delicate as if she is moving in the picture. I didn't really like the lighting for the first picture because a part of the picture was a bit dark but I used photoshop to lighten it just as how I did with the rest of the images. I chose to dress her in a flow-y dress with a white backdrop so that she can stand out more.
